Whenever we come across the word Depression, the first impression in our mind that strikes is: “alone and hopelessness”. But what if I say it’s just opposite of that i.e. “Loved and hopeful”.
Don’t believe me? Just go on with this article and you might find me genuine.
Depression and Negative Thoughts:
It is a mindset where we start expecting things from ourselves, which we either had never done before or if by any chance had attempted it before, then the fear of the same outcome as before invokes anxiety in us.
So, in both mind frames, the outcome is a byproduct of Overthinking because we get stressed out about the things that we had not even attempted or with some past guilt conscious of repeating the history.
I guess the above definition is pretty much clear and if not then need not to worry as will discuss it as we proceed.
Now let’s see how genuine I was by answering this next question i.e;
Actually what we need to do here is to recall our definition of Depression and Negative Thoughts.
So if I just beautify the definition a bit, it would be like:
Depression and Negative Thoughts are like Brainstorming on the things whch we are concerned about.
Now, I guess you can extract some positive vibes from the above definition. Isn’t it?
And now with some deeper extraction of it:
Getting concerned and brainstorming about the things or ideas is an excellent approach to resolve any barricade of life. But by staying at any barricade for long, can rust your decisions.
Now what you have to do here is to consider yourself as a computer who is programmed to accept only 0’s and 1’s i.e.; “YES” or “NO”.
And by doing this you can easily convince yourself that if there is a solution to my problem, then why should I worry and waste time on it by over thinking about it. Why not act upon it and simply come out of it.
So, that’s become our 1(YES).
And if nothing can be done about it, then “why on this holy earth” I am losing my time as a failure. Why not just move on to some next plan.
With it comes our 0(NO).
The answer to it is that one thing is sure that you may be tensed about it but there is nothing like a depression here because a depressed person doesn’t usually act like you do, instead they only come out with the theories best suited for them to not act upon the situation.
So, either what you are trying is not applicable in your case or some alterations are needed in your struggle. )
TIME, PLACE AND CIRCUMSTANCES VARY FROM PERSON TO PERSON.
Final thoughts on our solution:
1)Too much thinking weakens our decision.
2)Every problem comes with a solution (either 0 or 1).
3)Always work in an environment favorable to your thoughts.
4)Second advice/Third part involvement/ Mentoring/Counselling is always helpful in such conditions.
Depression/Negative Thoughts is a stage where you find yourself stuck for way too long before coming to some final conclusion or solution. And if you get stuck here for a bit longer you will definitely become rusty.
